Screen printing pricing – why such a price?

Screen printing pricing – why such a price?

You are probably wondering what affects the final price of screen printing? Screen printing, or direct printing, requires proper preparation. The whole process is quite complicated and complex, which has a significant impact on the price. The production itself is most cost-effective only from 35 pieces of one design. In a few points I will outline the basic elements that affect the pricing of screen printing on clothing.

Print run – this is the first important point, because the number of garments that will be printed defines the price. The greater the circulation of a single design, the lower the price per piece of printed clothing will be. As we mentioned earlier, in order to make the price affordable we recommend printing on a minimum of 30 pieces.

Number of colors – this is the second important point that affects the price. If the design is in one color, then the price will be much more favorable than the one in which you need to print as many as 6 colors. You have to remember that each color is a separate screen exposure, separate film preparation for each color. This is a lot of work with so many colors.

Number of printing places – it is important if the design is only in one place, for example, on the back of the T-shirt, or if you also need to print the front of the T-shirt or the sleeve. Each place is an additional cost.

The size of the marking – our standard is a 28 x 35 cm print. If you need a larger imprint, with a maximum size of 34 x 45 cm, you should expect to pay 30% more.

Type of ink – there are many types of screen printing inks to choose from. Water-based, puffy, fluorescent, gold, silver or raster printing inks. All these additional recommendations are priced more expensively, the cleanest pricing is individual, also depending on the project.

Color separation and preparation of the project for printing – with difficult, complex projects, most often multicolored, it is necessary to perform the so-called color separation, that is, to correct and prepare such a project for printing. The work of a graphic designer is charged separately, as it all depends on the complexity of the design.

Confectioning – if the customer wishes his product to be packed in separate bags, or new labels to be sewn in, these additional services will be added to the valuation.

Market volatility – over the last few years, when we were faced with a pandemic and now with a war in Ukraine, our market in the face of these uncertainties is no longer stable. The increase in inflation has also had a significant impact on labor costs, which have gone up sharply, which has a final impact on the pricing for the end customer.

All these mentioned points affect the price you receive from us for your order. If necessary, you can always write to us or call us to consult with our customer service.
