Digital printing pricing – why such a price?

Recently, interest in digital printing in the advertising industry has not waned. Digital printing is a relatively fresh topic. A lot of people still have a lot of questions about the method of marking itself, preparation of files for printing, quality, durability, as well as the final price. We will try to answer these few questions in a few paragraphs.

What is DTG digital printing?

It is a modern method of marking garments. Multi-color designs are obtained through direct printing on fabric. And this is done in just a few minutes. The designs we get are saturated with full detail reproduction. Durability is also good as long as we remember to wash on the left side and max at 30 degrees.

DTF applications?

DTF digital printing has quite a wide range of applications. First of all, it will work well for printing garments with complex and multi-color designs that would be expensive to produce by other methods. Here the cost is considerably less, as there is no need to prepare plates or expose screens. Once the design is received, the print can be printed virtually immediately. And in a few minutes we receive the finished product. In our company we have available a Brother GTX PRO DTF printer. It is a very good machine, which is great for producing prints from 1 piece. On our DTF printer you can print not only high-quality t-shirts, but also polo shirts, textile bags, sweatshirts, light polyester.

How to prepare files for DTF printing?

For DTF digital printing, you need bitmap files in high quality. The file at 1:1 size must be at least 300 dpi. Graphics should be saved in RGB colors (it can be CMYK, but the printer renders colors better in RGB), in a closed format such as .jpg or .pdf. Where does the price come from?

The price of DTF printing is affected by several factors. The first will be the machine itself. Ours is from the premium class – Brother GTX PRO. The print made from it, with original inks, is simply perfect. Prints maintain the highest parameters in terms of quality and resistance to washing. No comparison with prints made on converted printers that are available at other printers. It is well known that quality is also followed by price. This is something to reckon with and keep in mind. The final price of DTF printing is also influenced by the size of the print – the larger the design, the higher the price, as there is greater consumption of inks, and the number of garments – the more pieces, the lower the price will be.
