Each of us has more than one printed T-shirt in our closet. We also like to give such personalized T-shirts as gifts to friends and family. However, there are situations when a favorite T-shirt needs help, because the inscription on it peels off or breaks. What can we do then?

  • How to stick a peeling print? If you notice such a situation, try to act right away. If it’s a fairly new T-shirt, and the print is coming off, it’s more of a sign that the print was most likely not heated well under the press. It would be best to return such a T-shirt to the printer where the T-shirt was made. There may also be a friendly printer. It will probably only take a while of the T-shirt under the press to get the print well heated into the T-shirt. You can also try to divide it yourself at home. For this you will need an iron and baking paper. Preheat the iron to medium heat and run a couple of passes over the defective print through the paper.
  • How to repair a cracked print? A cracked print is generally a bad sign. If a print on a recently made T-shirt cracks, it is only an indication of poor print quality. Evidently, the printing house where the T-shirts were made did not take care of several factors so that the printed T-shirt was properly reheated. Unfortunately, with such situations there is usually not much you can do except complain. The situation is different when the T-shirt has already passed its best years of wearing and washing. This is a natural process with which you have to come to terms. Such a T-shirt is best replaced with a new one and with a tear in the eye the T-shirt is disposed of.
  • How to remove the print? If the print on the T-shirt comes off significantly, you can try using a thin knife to remove the print. However, you need to do this slowly and very precisely, as you can easily damage the T-shirt by perforating it with the knife. You can also try to remove the print with hot air from a hair dryer, or by putting the T-shirt in the freezer to make the print crack, so it will be easier to peel it off the T-shirt.
  • How to take care of printed T-shirts? It is important to remember that the printed T-shirt requires proper care. Wash it in a washing machine at 30-40 degrees, set the spin to max 600 rpm do not use chemicals, and always iron on the left side of the shirt!
  • How to remove the embroidery? Unfortunately, from our experience, we know that without professional seam cutting equipment, and a huge amount of patience, it may not work. Plus you have to remember that there will be a trace of embroidery left, and the fabric may be damaged. In general, we do not recommend it. It will be easier to give someone a garment with embroidery that we do not like, and order something new for ourselves.
  • Is it possible to cover the print with another graphic? You can. We have already more than once rescued more than one customer who came to us asking for help. Sometimes it was logos already outdated on work jackets, and sometimes the inscription on a T-shirt was misprinted somewhere. In such situations, the only solution is to cover the old inscription with something new. In this case, you need to bring the item to us. On the spot we will be able to see what possibilities we have for covering the old print with a new one, with the right choice of technique.

When wearing clothes, washing and ironing them regularly, it is important to remember that over time our favorite T-shirt, may no longer be as perfect as the day we bought it. The print may crack or come off over time, and the colors will fade. But that’s as we say after long use. If you have any questions or orders, please feel free to contact us: info@printexpress.pl
